Hi I am related to the Billiness family, so was fascinated to find your information about James & Lydia Billiness.
The name Billiness eventually got changed to Billings, so there are various stories about vicars not knowing how to spell etc...so I am tracing my ancestors back to James Billiness (1700's) but cannot find his birth anywhere - various sources suggest Huguenot from the Low Countries / France and had a surname of Belin which may or not be an early version of Billiness / Billings etc.
